I have been provisionally selected for redundancy with formal notice being given on 20 November. The last day of employment will be 15 December, with payment in lieu taking place after this date for 1 week per year up to a max of 12 weeks. I have been with the company for 13 years in January. The company have said that any time between now and the 15 December if a member of staff in my team gets a job elsewhere in the company or leaves, the offer of redundancy, provisional or formal, will be withdrawn. Can this happen?

Once you have been selected for redundancy and the proper procedures carried out, you are entitled to the redundancy payment and to leave the employment. However it is fully open to your employers to make an offer of continuing employment to you all though you will be under no obligation to accept.
